Lets work on a fan belt assembly to show the detail one can do. Starting with the bare part, use the exacto knife and file to trim any flash. Any mods and repairs can be done now too. This is where some powerful head mounted magnifiers comes in handy. Then start the paint detail.
After marking or painting the fan belt black, we need to modify the Alternator to fit the belt assembly. The alternator had a hole in it and the belt had an indentation so I cut a piece of plastic tree to fit into each as an adapter. In Pic 6 you can just see the piece of tree protruding out of the alternator (lower left of pic) in the picture before final assembly. Below, 3 pics of the final assembly, including chrome fan. Note the pullies and simulated chrome using the great Molotow Chrome Pen. The part is now ready for the engine.
